Our Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
At AK Regal Care, we are committed to providing the highest possible quality of Care and Support service to the clients who use our services, the organisations who purchase services on their behalf, families or relatives and friends, and all other external organisations. We provide a high standard of individualised care and support services to the most vulnerable members of our community with humility and all compassion in the comfort and secure surroundings within their own local community.
We provide our services to: Adults 18-65, People with Learning difficulties, People with autism, People with Physical Disability and Sensory Impairments (PDSI), People with complex needs and/or behaviours that may challenge, People with mental health problems, People with emotional behavioural disorder.
Our work is of high importance to us and for those we care and support. We believe in everyone's ability to change, with trust, kindness, dignity, respect, and total tolerance. We encourage individuals to identify and develop their own unique skills and abilities, we support them to bring about positive changes in their lives and the lives of people around them. We provide a general informal arrangement in which service users’ emotional, cultural, religious, social, intellectual and health needs are identified and met.
Depending on the individual’s level of need as identified through the social care assessment, support can be delivered in groups, shared support or on a 1:1 basis. For some this means having dedicated 24 hours support a day, seven days a week, and for others this could simply mean assistance for a few hours a day - for example: 10 hour a week, etc.
We promote community centred activities and initiatives enabling individuals to access other services and facilities within the local community – support accessing and engaging in work, training, education or volunteering, community support, accessing public transport, etc. We support individuals to maximise life skills and independence to live their life as they choose. We encourage individuals to identify and develop their own unique skills and abilities, we support them to bring about positive changes in their lives and the lives of people around them.
Our support enables individuals to live a fulfilling life at home using their independent living skills and developing new daily living skills, ensuring and promoting equality – everyone’s uniqueness is different in respect of gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, race, religion, culture, etc.
Supported Living Services:
We provide bespoke Community Support - support delivered in a person’s own home. The support is delivered to individuals living in a range of accommodation settings, including: Ordinary housing, rented or owned, shared or single residency, Supported accommodation schemes where there is a staff presence on site for a portion of the week- ‘supported living’ services.
We provide bespoke Overnight Short Break for individuals who may need:
The focus of this service is around enrichment and building independence, potentially as a foundation to an individual moving into supported living longer term.
We provide day service for people with diverse needs, helping them to make individual choices, achieve goals and take control of their own lives. Support are delivered in groups, shared support or on a 1:1 basis dependent on the individual’s level of need. We provide a full day and/or a half day session. The service is able to provide transport. Food and Drinks are available for the individual to purchase.
Promoting education, learning and work – the support is focused on enabling and actively supporting individuals to access learning opportunities, to become work ready and to obtain paid and voluntary work as appropriate to their age, needs and circumstances.
The support is focused on Promoting independence - enabling people to live a fulfilling life at home using their independent living skills and developing new daily living skills.
Community inclusion – the support enable individuals to connect to their local community and resources around them and to take part in a range of activities of their choice.
Promoting equality – everyone’s uniqueness in respect of gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, race, religion, culture, and lifestyle will be acknowledged and respected and used to inform support planning.
The support is focused on creative and personalised approach that gives people choice and control about who they spend their time with and what they spend their time doing – both in their home and in their local community.
